2007-2008 Juneau County Fairest of the Fair Miss Dana EricksonText Box: Greetings from the Juneau County Fair!        My name is Dana Erickson and it has been an honor to serve as your 2007-2008 Juneau County Fairest of the Fair. I am the daughter of Kevin and Lynn Erickson of Mauston. Currently, I am a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a major in Animal Science with an emphasis in Agri-Business. Go Badgers!       Our 2007 Fair theme was Making Memories to Last a Lifetime. It's true; the memories that I have made at the Fair will remembered for a lifetime. This year, I had the privilege to participate in many great community activities which allowed me to learn more about Juneau County, the history of the Fair, and also our great State.  As I prepared for the State Fairest Competition in Green Bay this past January, I interviewed Juneau County Historian Rose Clark to find out more about past fairs. It's remarkable- history repeats itself. Fairs of today are still bringing people together from all corners of the county. Since 1866, the Juneau County Fair has offered  people the opportunity to meet, have fun, and learn from each other.      Our 2008 Fair theme is Community Pride.  I invite young women from throughout Juneau County to participate in this valuable leadership program for 2008-2009 and demonstrate community pride. This experience has allowed me to build              self-confidence. Through public speaking, interviewing, and conversing with new people, I experienced for the first time what the business world is like and what it takes to be a good representative.        I would like to thank the community for supporting the Juneau County Fair and Fairest of the Fairs Program. A special thank you to Renee Buelow for all of her special efforts as Fairest of the Fairs Chairperson and the Fair Board for offering this great opportunity.    Thank You!   Dana Erickson         dlerickson@wisc.edu P.O. Miss BRIANNA HUEBNER

Fair 2012-1

Text Box: Greeting Fair Enthusiasts!      My name is Brianna Huebner, and I have had the distinct honor to serve as the 2012 Juneau County Fairest of the Fair for the past year.  My parents are Paul and Diane Huebner of Mauston.  I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where I am pursuing a degree in elementary and early childhood education.      The fair last year revolved around a common theme of “Come Enjoy Yourself in 2012”.  Everyone I saw at the fair was clearly having a blast, whether they were enjoying an FFA shake, attending one of the grandstand events, or exploring the barns.  I was constantly impressed by all the hard work and passion that could be found around the fair.  The Juneau County Fair is a special place where the community comes together, and will for many years to come.      Aly Wohlrab was the Junior Fairest of the Fair for Juneau County.  She did a lovely job serving in this capacity and I am fortunate to have been able to work with her throughout the year.  I appreciate the time and energy she put into the position.      I would like to sincerely thank my wonderful family and friends, the fabulous Fairest of the Fair coordinators Heidi Finucan and Abby Erickson, all the fantastic local businesses, and the dedicated Fair Board for all their support during my year as Fairest of the Fair.  I would also like to express my thanks for all the support given to the Juneau County Fairest of the Fair program.  I hope during my time as Fairest, I was able to better promote it throughout the county.  I am looking forward to my future involvement with fair and all it has to offer!  Hope to see you all at the 2013 Juneau County Fair!  Sincerely, Brianna Huebner 2012 Juneau County Fairest of the Fair
